HEVA: The Fund Taking Creative Businesses in EA by Storm
HEVA Fund is a finance and business support facility established to support creative enterprises achieve commercialization.
The first of its kind, the Fund seeks to support creative entrepreneurs running established start-ups and therefore looking to get to the next level in terms of streamlining production, acquiring production assets or technologies, creating a new point of sale, entering a new market or improving cash flow.
How the fund works
Focusing on three value chains – fashion and apparel, crafts & handmade and music & performance, the fund will offer low cost and accessible debt financing (loans, overdrafts, guarantees), seed investment as well as the requisite training and business support.
The first cycle of investment rolls out in September 2015 and the second, March 2016.
